Short-Term Mission @ Universitat de Girona
The
PhD student Eduardo Soares carried out a
shot term scientific mission
at CIRS facilities (Girona Underwater Vision and Robotics Research
Centre - Girona University) within the framework of Deepfield project
from the 13th of February until the 12th of March.
The
activities performed by the young researcher during his one month stay
focused on learning how the Stonefish simulator can be used to
accelerate development and testing of perception algorithms that have to
work in combination with the control system of the I-AUV, to enable
automatization of intervention tasks utilising underwater manipulators.
Thematic Workshop on Autonomous Underwater Intervention
The Thematic Workshop on Autonomous Underwater Intervention
was held from 11th to 12th February at the University of Girona. In the
scope of the DEEPFIELD project, each partner will organise a thematic
workshop, these will be attended by researchers from the Centre for
Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CRAS-INESCTEC) and are opened to
students from the organising partner.
Kick-off meeting
The
kick-off meeting was held on the 10th of October 2019 at Porto (Portugal)
and joined together the five partners of the consortium.
